Sad Demise of HRH Dr. Sha’aban Audu Nizazo III, Etsu Kwali of Kwali Area Council

It is with deep regret and sorrow that we announce the passing of His Royal Highness (HRH) Dr. Sha’aban Audu Nizazo III, the Etsu Kwali, paramount ruler of Kwali Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). The revered traditional leader breathed his last on Thursday evening at an FCT hospital following a brief illness.

Survived by his two wives, 12 children, and nine grandchildren, HRH Dr. Sha’aban Audu Nizazo III had served as the Etsu Kwali for a distinguished period of eight years. His appointment as the first Etsu Kwali took place on March 16, 2015, elevating him to the position of a second-class ruler. A momentous occasion occurred on May 20 of the same year when he was bestowed with the Staff of Office by the then Minister of FCT, Senator Bala Mohammed.

In light of this unfortunate news, Dr. Ramatu Aliyu, the Minister of State for the FCT, has extended her heartfelt condolences to the FCT Traditional Council of Chiefs and the residents of Kwali Area Council. The loss of HRH Dr. Sha’aban Audu Nizazo III is deeply felt, and the community mourns the departure of a revered and esteemed leader.
