Kwali Market Toilet Project

The Executive Chairman of Kwali, Hon Danladi Chiya (Maibayani), and the Etsu of Kwali, HRH Ambassador Dr Alhaji Shaban Audu Nizazo, warmly welcomed Her Excellency, Amb. Mary Beth Leonard, the US Ambassador, to Kwali Area Council. The purpose of her visit was to commission the Kwali Market Toilet Project, which was constructed and supported by the United States Embassy in Abuja.

During the event, the Chairman expressed his admiration for the US Ambassador’s bravery and dedication in attending this significant occasion in person, despite the prevailing security challenges in the country. He also extended his heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Taiwo Benson, the Director, and the team at the Foundation for Community Health, Rights, and Development (FOCHRID), for selecting Kwali Area Council in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) as the starting point for this vital project. He invoked divine guidance upon them as they selflessly serve the community by addressing the issue of public defecation.
