After unveiling website- www.kwaliac.abj.gov.ng for the Area Council on the 17th of August 2023, Hon. Danladi Chiya, Executive Chairman who doubles as FCT ALGON Chairman has approved the training of Staff of the Council on ICT Management.
“Yes, I have approved this training for staff because in this present day and age, no meaningful impact can be made in government affairs, until technology is employed. You must have basic or advanced knowledge on ICT to properly deliver on ICT”
The Chairman recalled that he had, during the website- www.kwaliac.abj.gov.ng, directed that all communications and mechanism be fully activated for engagement with citizens.
“The Council shall henceforth put necessary information on the website- www.kwaliac.abj.gov.ng , so that electorates and the general public can give feedback and peruse our projects, programmes and activities across all the departments and various sectors of the Council. Let the Information Office ensure that the social media is agog with happenings of the administration,” the Chairman concluded.
Leading Staff to the week-long training which held at Wealth Court Apartment, Keffi, Nassarawa State, the Head of Information and Protocol and Chief of Protocols to the Executive Chairman, Mr Peter Jigo and Mr Emmanuel Habila, both expressed gratitude to the Chairman and committed to maximizing every impartation gotten from the training for the overall development of the Area Council.
Jigo said “we are deeply grateful to the Executive Chairman, Hon. Danladi Chiya; a man who has always shown leadership capacity in towering height, for this great human capacity building in us. It is because the Executive Chairman has, in his usual visionary way, discovered that having these skills will help to organize and reorganize the workload, streamline processes and access digital information for the Council reason we are here.
The Information Officer noted that they had been on training for a week-long now, pledging to use the acquired skills imparted for the development of the Council.
On his part, Habila said “we have been here since Tuesday 14th and will be here till Saturday 18th November, 2023, I can tell you that so much has been downloaded on us as it relates to ICT Management and Social Media Administration, amongst others.”
“This opportunity would be utilized to ensure we put the Area Council on the global scale of technological innovation,” the Image-Maker concluded.
