2023 Annual Abuja Investment Summit and Expo:
Chiya woo possible investors and partners, says Kwali is a land full of milk and honey.
…hints the administration has pursued broad policies on investment opportunities.
FCT ALGON Chairman and Executive Chairman of Kwali Area Council, Hon. Danladi Chiya, has declared that the Council is open for investment and partnership.
He said this while giving a remarks at the 2023 Annual Abuja Investment Summit and Expo on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
The ALGON Chairman who noted that the theme for the Summit and Expo is a reflection of the vision of the present leadership of the Federal Capital Territory, added that it aligns with his goals for the development of Kwali.
“With great pleasure and a thing of pride that I, on behalf of Kwali Area Council; the country home of the late Dr. Ladi Kwali, whose image currently adorns the Twenty Naira (N20) note, participates in the 2023 Annual Abuja Investment Summit and Expo today, the 14th day of November, 2023.”
“The theme for this year’s Summit and Expo- “Unlocking Investment Opportunities in the Federal Capital Territory” is timely and well-thought-of as it is coming at a time we have a courageous decision-maker and an achiever in person of His Excellency, Chief, Barrister Ezenwo Nyesom Wike, CON, as the Honourable Minister of FCT who has an undying passion for achieving the President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda in the Federal Capital Territory.”
“We have gathered at a time the Territory is beginning to witness an unprecedented economic growth and development owing to the standard policy-making and implementation by the Wike-led FCT Administration.
This Summit and Expo aligns with our goals for accelerated development at the Area Council level.”
The Chairman explained that his administration has cleared all obstacles on the path of investments and the overall development in the Council.
“We have pursued broad policies on investment opportunities to attract possible partners and investors in the Kwali Area Council.”
“These policies include providing enabling and secured environments such as infrastructure for agricultural investment of all kinds, affordable and reliable raw natural products, and considerate tax rates, among others.”
Hon. Chiya thereby reeled out profile of the Council and called on possible sole investors and partners to visit the Area owing to its steady growth and considerate taxation.
“To our potential Public-Private-Partners, Kwali Area Council has a vast land with rich and fertile soil suitable for a variety of products to be grown. The Area Council play hosts to more than Ten (10) Federal Government Institutions and Agencies such as Sheda Science and Technology Complex (SHESTCO), National Seed Council (NSC), NNPC Sub-station and the National Mathematical Centre and the Ladi Kwali Pottery Cottage among others; no doubt the FCDA carved it out as Agricultural and Educational Zone.”
The Council boss stated that Area was ready going by the investment-friendly activities and invited partners even as he appreciated Economic Planning Secretariat for such a great Summit.
“The Council also has a steady growing infrastructure, and social amenities to drive economic growth. We equally have eco-friendly lands with tropical areas for agro business, textile and clothing, mining, tourism and hospitality endeavours.”
“To this end, I call on possible investors and partners to come and have their shares of the land that is full of milk and honey; a beautiful, prosperous and peaceful place to live and invest in.
While thanking the Economic Planning, Revenue Generation and PPP Secretariat under the leadership of Rt. Hon., Barr. Chinedum Elechi, for hosting this, I hope that this Summit and Expo will, indeed, unlock investment opportunities to leverage on the business attraction for both the FCT and Kwali Area Council”, he further remarked.
